DWTS Vote for Hope T-shirt
Hope is dancing with Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Hope’s dancing has not gone exactly smoothly. She has ended up in jeopardy a couple of times. Yet this soccer star manages to stay in the game.
As he pleaded with me and some other friends to vote for her, he said come on, “A vote for Hope is a vote for Hope.” A cheezy phrase, yes. But then again, lust will make you say funny things. He then double dog dared me to make a shirt. And who am I to turn down a shirt-making challenge.

Monday September 19th will be the live 2 hour premiere of Season 13 of America’s favorite ballroom dancing show, Dancing with The Stars.
Many of the professional dancers have been around the dance floor of this show before but there are also some who will be making their debut as professional dancers on DWTS. Bruno, Len and Carrie Ann will be returning to their judges seats to keep it real.
The three newcomer dance professionals are Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Tristan McManus and Petra Murgatroyd.
Val Chmerkovskiy is the brother of longtime DWTS resident bad boy of the ballroom Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Val and his partner, Daria Chesnokova are the US Amateur Latin Champions. Val has also made several guest appearances on prior DWTS episodes not only dancing, but playing the violin. Val will dance with George Clooney’s ex-girlfriend and model Elisabetta Cannalis.

Tristan McManus has appeared in several world tour theatre productions including the UK tour of Simply Ballroom. Tristan will dance with legal eagle lawyer, Nancy Grace.
Petra Murgatroyd was one of the original DWTS Troupe members from Season 12 and she was also the lead female dancer in Burn the Floor on Broadway. Petra will dance with LA Laker Ron Artest, who by the time the show premieres will legally have changed his name to Metta World Peace.
Tony Dovolani returns for his 12th season and will dance with singer Chynna Phillips. Tony has had some very memorable DWTS partners in the past including Susan Lucci, Melissa Rycroft, Wendy Williams and Kate Gosselin.
Two time DWTS champion Kym Johnson will dance with movie star David Arquette.
Anna Trbunskaya comes back for her 8th season to dance with Carson Kressley, best known for being one of the Fab 5 on the makover show, “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.”
Maksim Chmerkovskiy returns for an 11th season to dance with U.S.A. soccer goalie Hope Solo. Maks hit an all-time high dancing with Kirstie Alley last year.
Karina Smirnoff back for her 9th season will dance with real life war hero/soap star J.R. Martinez.
Lacey Schwimmer is paired with Sonny and Cher’s only child Chaz Bono as she returns for her 5th season
Cheryl Burke has been paired with Rob Kardashian in this her 12th season. Rob is the only one among 6 famous siblings who does not have a first name beginning with the letter K.
Derek Hough returns after a season off to dance the nights away with Ricki Lake who is most known for her role in the movie, “Hairspray.”
Mark Ballas will be dancing with reality star Kristin Cavallari from “The Hills,” to see if he can win his 3rd mirror ball.
During last night’s The Bachelor Pad 2, Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke announced the new cast for season 13 of Dancing with the Stars.
Season 13 of DWTS will begin in three weeks on September 19th, 2011 on ABC. The new cast of stars competing for the covetted mirror ball trophy will be daytime’s darling, Ricki Lake; LA Laker and NBA Champion, Ron Artest; Reality Sweetheart from “The Hills”, Kristin Cavallari; Soccer Superstar, Hope Solo; Former Wilson Phillips member, Chynna Phillips; Courtney Cox’ other half – David Arquette; Style Guru and former Fab 5′er – Carson Kressley; Courtroom Queen – Nancy Grace; Real Life Hero and Soap Star -J.R. Martinez; Armenian Heartthrob and Male K-doll – Rob Kardashian; George Clooney’s GF, Elisabetta Cannalis; and the only child of 70s music duo Sonny and Cher – Chaz Bono.
Tomorrow morning be sure to set your dvr to tape Good Morning America, when the Dancing with the Stars pros will be officially announced. Maks fans will be especially happy as DWTS Season 13 will have you enjoying two Chmerkovskiys, not just one! Look for Maks’ world champion brother, Valentin, to join the show.

Sunday at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City the Dance with Me Studios presented a summer dance show immediately following a day of dance competitions for their students. The event was a summer invitational appropriately called, “All The Right Moves.”
In a Dancing with The Stars studded event, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Kirstie Alley were the featured performers in a night that captured the essence of why ballroom dancing is good for the body and for the soul.
There was a giant conga line, a fair amount of fringe and lots of laughs. Tony and Maks’ bromance is evident and they did a great job of hosting the night along – if they’re not busy on Oscar night, someone should book them!

Maks and Kirstie danced the sassy, sexy, crowd-pleaser cha-cha that they performed as their very first dance on season 12 of Dancing with the Stars. Amazeballs! World champions, Val Chmerkovskiy and Daria Chesnokova blew everyone away as usual! Tony Dovolani and his partner, Elena Grinenko, rumba’d. And fellow DWTS contestant, Petra Nemcova, was cheering everyone on. Only Wendy Williams was noticeably absent. Also featured were brother and sister duo from this season’s new Dancing with The Stars Troupe, Nicole and Teddy Volynets. And several of the terrifically talented Dance with Me instructors also performed!

Tonite, September 20th begins Season 11 of Dancing with the Stars (or not so stars – as I like to call it). I’ll be watching with my fellow DWTS friends over dinner and drinks because dwts is always better watched with friends!
