Monday September 19th will be the live 2 hour premiere of Season 13 of America’s favorite ballroom dancing show, Dancing with The Stars. See who the DWTS pairs and partners will be for the new season.
Many of the professional dancers have been around the dance floor of this show before but there are also some who will be making their debut as professional dancers on DWTS. Bruno, Len and Carrie Ann will be returning to their judges seats to keep it real.
Dancing with the Stars Season 13 Pairs
The three newcomer dance professionals are Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Tristan McManus and Petra Murgatroyd.
Val Chmerkovskiy is the brother of longtime DWTS resident bad boy of the ballroom Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Val and his partner, Daria Chesnokova are the US Amateur Latin Champions. Val has also made several guest appearances on prior DWTS episodes not only dancing, but playing the violin. Val will dance with George Clooney’s ex-girlfriend and model Elisabetta Cannalis.
Tristan McManus has appeared in several world tour theatre productions including the UK tour of Simply Ballroom. Tristan will dance with legal eagle lawyer, Nancy Grace.
Petra Murgatroyd was one of the original DWTS Troupe members from Season 12 and she was also the lead female dancer in Burn the Floor on Broadway. Petra will dance with LA Laker Ron Artest, who by the time the show premieres will legally have changed his name to Metta World Peace.
Tony Dovolani returns for his 12th season and will dance with singer Chynna Phillips. Tony has had some very memorable DWTS partners in the past including Susan Lucci, Melissa Rycroft, Wendy Williams and Kate Gosselin.
Two time DWTS champion Kym Johnson will dance with movie star David Arquette.
Anna Trbunskaya comes back for her 8th season to dance with Carson Kressley, best known for being one of the Fab 5 on the makover show, “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.”
Maksim Chmerkovskiy returns for an 11th season to dance with U.S.A. soccer goalie Hope Solo. Maks hit an all-time high dancing with Kirstie Alley last year.
Karina Smirnoff back for her 9th season will dance with real life war hero/soap star J.R. Martinez.
Lacey Schwimmer is paired with Sonny and Cher’s only child Chaz Bono as she returns for her 5th season
Cheryl Burke has been paired with Rob Kardashian in this her 12th season. Rob is the only one among 6 famous siblings who does not have a first name beginning with the letter K.
Derek Hough returns after a season off to dance the nights away with Ricki Lake who is most known for her role in the movie, “Hairspray.”
Mark Ballas will be dancing with reality star Kristin Cavallari from “The Hills,” to see if he can win his 3rd mirror ball.
